RR: Borrowing a question from your own WYR, Would you rather Make a lion submit to your will and let you bone it or not ever do the manliest thing ever?
Haha, I don't think I ever want to bone a lion. But I also don't think it's the manliest thing ever... So I guess there's an inherent flaw with this particular WYR.
RR:Your work with Amir is truly funny, how did those come about?what is your process in making a typical Jake & Amir video?
They're really just the product from sitting across from someone as fun to be around as Amir. We've always joked around together, in a way, the characters began being developed before we started filming anything. The process is relatively simple now that we have more defined roles, but basically we think of an idea, shoot it, and then Amir edits it. We are usually inspired by typical every day scenarios but we also take advantage of things that come up, for instance, our
vacations to Florida or Nantucket.
RR:CollegeHumor.com seems like a very laid back fun work environment, what is the least productive thing you have done at work?
Haha, it's hard to say. A lot of the work we do is so fun that it feels like it's unproductive. Like, being on the set of Bohemian Rhapsody, it felt like we were just hanging out with our friends all day, but it ended up being a popular video. It's awesome the way that works out.
RR:How did you get started at CollegeHumor?
I get asked that a lot, and I always feel like my answer is too long. I'll try to shorten it up- I wrote from college, interned, and then was hired. That's pretty simple, right?
RR:Where would you like to take your bright career in the future?
Thanks for the compliment. I'm not sure where I see myself in the future. Right now I'm having a lot of fun and I think I'll keep at what I'm doing for a while. I guess my goal is to do more of the same for a growing audience.
Hope those answers are alright, thanks for the questions!
